Eat Drink Be Merry!

Come and celebrate your Christmas with family, friends or work colleagues at our unique venue on the beach, The Flour Pot Kitchen. Exclusive venue hire is available for a sit down indulgent feast for up to 20 people, or a stand up buffet for up to 60.

Specially chosen organic wines, carefully crafted cocktails and your own private chef cooking in our open kitchen can all be yours. We can also arrange for a DJ, extra decorations and bespoke cocktails.

Booking Terms

Some important things to read.

Minimum spend

Our minimum spends apply only to food and drink used during your event and any shortfall is non-transferable. The minimum spend covers the exclusive use of the venue for your party.

Our minimum spends are as follows:
+ Monday - Friday afternoon 1-5pm | £750
+ Monday - Friday evening 7-12pm | £1000
+ Saturday evening from 6pm | £1500

The minimum spend is non-inclusive of a discretionary 10% service charge which will be added to the final bill and does not include other services such as security and entertainment.

Deposit

A deposit of 50% of the minimum spend is required to confirm your reservation. The remaining balance, any additional spend and the full-service charge to be settled on the day or evening of your event. Confirmation constitutes a valid contract between The Flour Pot Kitchen and yourself.

Deposit payments to be made by credit/debit card either at the venue or by phone to 01273 730 464. Bacs transfer - please provide confirmation of BACS transfers.

Cancellations

For full booking cancellations:
+ 14 days or more – 100% refund
+ 7-13 days – 50% refund
+ Less than 7 days – deposit retained

For guests cancellations:
+ £10 charge per guest within 72 hours of the party.

Food & Drinks

Please confirm your menu choice 7 days in advance. Drinks and bottles of wine can be pre-ordered or arranged to be on the table on arrival. Please specify if you would like this to be organised for your party 7 days before your event. Please choose from our list available, but do not hesitate to ask if there is something special that you require.

Dietary requirements

We must be informed of any dietary requirements and/or allergy at least 4 working days prior to the event. Other terms and conditions may apply.

Your responsibility as a guest

The Customer is responsible for the behaviour of his, her or its guests at The Flour Pot Kitchen and in particular for the orderly conduct of guests attending any function or otherwise making use of the Services. The customer accepts responsibility for the room under hire, their furnishings and equipment. Any damage caused may result in an additional charge to rectify such damage, and additional charges may be raised to cover any loss of business incurred as a result of the damage. We at The Flour Pot Kitchen reserve the right to escort from our premises any guests who, in our opinion, are causing excessive noise, disruption or actual damage. Please be aware we are a non-smoking venue. Smoking is permitted on our terrace, outside only.

Extra decorations

We are happy to have extra decoration brought along to the party, as long as it has been agreed in advance. However we do not allow for any bolts, staples, confetti, drilling, blutac or adhesives to be used and we will therefore charge for any damage caused by these if decorations have been applied against these rules.

Licensing

The Flour Pot Kitchen has a strict alcohol licensing policy in keeping with The Licensing Act 2005. Signing the terms and conditions confirm you will notify all guests of the licensing condition and you are confirming you support the company’s enforcement of these. It is illegal to serve alcohol to anyone who is intoxicated and for a staff member to knowingly allow a guest to purchase alcohol for another intoxicated guest.

No children under 18 years old will be sold alcohol. At Managers' discretion only, a glass of beer, wine or cider can be purchased by a responsible adult for a child over 16 years old and must be served at the table whilst having lunch or dinner. Children under 15 years of age must be supervised at all times by an appropriate adult. The Flour Pot Kitchen has a Check 25 age verification policy. The staff have the right to ask for proof of age and only accept PASS accredited proof of age cards, driving licenses or passports. Please ensure young guests bring a valid proof of age document to the event.

The sale of alcohol will cease at 11.30pm and the venue' doors will close by midnight at the latest. If you wish to extend your evening beyond those times, you must discuss with our event organiser and agree on the terms at least 3 weeks prior to your party (conditions apply).
